PEKES AND POLLEN

 Pollen!

Pekes are not short haired dogs   Even if you trim them, their tail and ears can attract pollen like a magnet!

Cinnamon is the champion for dragging pollen in.  Her ears must have hooks on them.
But her tail looks like a giant ball of pollen. This is after I pulled a lot off.  I’ll vacuum and turn around and more has appeared.
Our yard is full of trees. Pink “helicopters” twirl down, camellia flowers are dropping and pollen is falling thickly to the ground.
So I keep sweeping.
And raking.  I’ll get the blower out to get it into piles. Yes piles. So much pollen.  Once we get a good rain, it should be knocked down. We’ll have yellow pollen streams everywhere.

Maybe the dogs can just stay inside and not wander all over the yard.  I don’t think that will work.   They love to walk through all of it.  Are you having pollen issues too?
