Anna, a friend of mine, lost her little Bette Rubble this week. She posted this on her posting. (I reworded some of it.).
Bette was a foster failure, who has only been with Anna and her family for 4 months. Bette had been in a shelter when her elderly owner could no longer care for her. Anna and Bette instantly bonded. She had a special connection with this little girl. Bette slept on her side of the bed, waited for her at the front door, and completely the 2014 Strutt Your Mutt walk, with Bette in her stroller. Bette enjoyed all the sights and smells.
Betty was about 14 years old, but these little seniors can give so much love in a short amount of time. She was a happy girl while living with Anna, and Anna just wishes she had been able to love Betty her entire life. Rest in Peace Sweet Bette Rubble, you will be dearly missed.
