Cindy had advanced congestive heart failure and by the time we got her to the vet, she was going down very fast. Everything was done to try to save her and make her comfortable and give her time. She was held as she took her last breath. We wanted to give her more time and love, but it didn't happen.
I think she is looking up to heaven here as I got her ready to leave the shelter to ride safely to the vet. I want to thank the Dunns who had offered to take Cindy into their home and hearts. Farewell, little Cindy Dunn-- I'm giving you your full name and we wish you a happy journey across the Rainbow Bridge. Rest in peace, sweet Cindy.

Just so sad but .... she had loving people with her in the end .
How sad for Cindy just when it seemed that help was there for her. Rest in peace sweet Cindy
I'm so glad she had friends by the end.
I am so happy that Cindy was held as she took her last breadth and she was not alone. I am sure she will be happy that she received true love even for a short time. Rest in Peace little Cindy
The key thing is that she did not die alone...she was held, and if for just a little while she knew love.
