FAREWELL KASEY

Kasey came into rescue in April of 2016.   I absolutely love this beautiful picture of him.
He quickly became a daddy's boy, and they couldn't let him go.  I should say Ty couldn't let him go.  💙 Foster failures are awesome.
He had to have ACL surgery before his adoption and he recovered well.
He joined Melrose, who had been adopted the year before.   He took Melrose on a merry chase within 3 weeks of arriving.  Oh, they were a pair.
After that, there was an extra gate by the front door.   No more escapes.
Kasey was a character and adventurous beyond his age.  He was about 8 at the time.
You may not know, but Kasey was Granger's dad.
Granger is my granddog.
Kasey was a beautiful boy.
He and Melrose were often together, even though they had other friends.
Kasey had the most beautiful eyes.
He was stunning.
As he got older, his physical limitations made is necessary to put gates up to protect him from falling on the stairs.   We do anything to keep our pups safe.
He spent most of his time in the den, allowing his dad to carry him up and down stairs.
Kasey was 14 1/2 when he showed his mom and dad that he was near the end.  Life had become too hard for him.   He passed away in his sleep during the night.
His body left, but his sweet spirit will remain in his home.
Run free now, sweet boy.  💙🌈
