Remember little Alastor? He came into rescue in May. He was very thin and has a high grade heart murmur. His mouth is in terrible shape, but he is too frail to do surgery on yet. He is staying with Dr. Hodges and her husband, Roger-- our GREAT Roanoke fosters and vet. They wrote to tell me that Alastor gained a pound!! And after weeks of being hand fed, he ate out of the bowl on his own. He is a very sweet and happy dog and we hope to give him as much time as we can. I know I have many wonderful friends on here, so please send Roger and Dr. Lucinda Hodges a card to say thank you. They have helped SO many of our foster Pekingese and take care of them at their hospital and home. They are really incredible! ALASTOR UPDATE

That is wonderful news! I'm so glad that Alastor is eating on his own and has gained a pound. Love and patience will go a long way and I will pray for his continued improvement. Thanks to all of you for helping him get better!
