LUCY

Lucy came into rescue last month after spending five years on a neck chain in the back yard of her owner's house.   She had been bred over and over-- and never cared for or cared about.
She was so sweet and so grateful for any attention-- and Jeanne was giving her a lot.
She found a special bed at Jeanne's house.
Lucy explored the garden-- she has probably never seen a more wonderful place to explore (I love Jeanne's garden).
Carter is keeping an eye on her-- he has been her little protector.
It's a hard job, so he takes a rest.
He is still  trying to watch her, but he can't keep my eyes open.
Lucy goes back in and shares a secret with Sassy.
She has a funny look, but she really  loves her new harness that she received as a gift.    Thank you, Leigh!
Lucy is feeling better after her surgery-- she had a lot done, but is feeling better physically and emotionally.  She knows she is safe now.
 Sitting outside is so nice.
Carter joins her again-- he stays close.
Now Jill Lee joins them on the steps.   Jeanne's dogs are so good with her fosters.   They all watch over them, and know this will help the fosters to heal.   I do, too.   What a great group!   We're so glad you're there, Lucy!

What a shocking life dear Lucy has had but ... now its going to be very different and I am hoping this sweet girl finds a very loving home - she deserves this!

Lucy...You've got it made now. Only good things to come! Glad Carter is your little protector, and you trust Sassy with your secrets! But most of all, there is a picture of you SMILING!!! Hope that sad face turns to all smiles!
