Duchess/NEW GRANDSON

I have a new grandson-- born a month early yesterday. His sister, "Bitty Bit" is very excited! She is 2 1/2.
He has lots of hair and weighed 7.5 pounds. Big boy for so early.
His biggest sister, "Lil Bit" is so excited, too.
I guess he just didn't want to miss Christmas this year!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Duchess was in a Maryland shelter-- she came in because her owners said their granddaughter was allergic to her. This might be true-- but people give a lot of reasons for giving up their dogs. I think sometimes, they just don't want them anymore.
But, Duchess was picked up by her foster mom and she brought a new, fancy harness for her! Duchess knew she was beginning a new life. She was afraid in the shelter, but she's not afraid now!
"Where are we going?"
Duchess is looking around her new foster home-- I think she approves. :-)
Yes, I think she settled in very quickly. She was a little bossy with the two Pekes who lives there-- she had to learn she was NOT the boss. And she did.
Duchess was just adopted and is now in her forever home. Her new mom's work friends gave her a "dog shower" to get Duchess all set up with beds and toys. Amazing!! She wasn't in rescue long! She got her Christmas wish-- a new mom and a new home!

So happy for Duchess - I guess you sure hear some "reasons" people give their dogs up. Very sad but this story has a happy ending!!
