FAREWELL GEORGE

George was Jeanne's older boy. He had been a friend's dog. Jeanne kept George when her friend went into the hospital, but when her friend died, George stayed with Jeanne. Her friend died six years ago today-- so it is a double loss for Jeanne on this date.

George was the patriarch of his dog family. He was surrounded by small dogs.

He loved to survey his domaine from their back porch.

He loved to walk around the yard and patio.

He enjoyed just watching us from the little side yard-- surrounded by Pekingese.

He was good friends with Jill Lee also.

George will be missed so much by Jeanne and Bill. He was a big part of their lives and the lives of the dogs he shared their home with. Rest in peace, sweet boy.

My thoughts go out to you Jeanne and Bill.

Your George looked like a "Bonza Bloke" as we would say here and he was so cute amoungst the pekes :)

What a great memory site for George. I can't say it enough to you for taking and keeping George and for giving him a fur-ever home. Muriel has to be smiling down on you today!!! She and George are together and I know Muriel is happy.
Thank you again. And I love you so much, and my heart is weeping for the lost of both Muriel and George. This is a sad day for you and me both.

Dearest Jeanne no better home could a dog ever wish for then to be with you and your husband. Now that he is with his first mom in heaven I know she will tell you someday how much she appreciated you being there for her baby. You loved him and made his transition so much more than any could have expected. He seemed very happy everytime we were there. I know you love them all as though they have been with you for every day of their life, saying goodbye is hard but to know how much you loved him means more. May God tell you and your husband "A job/love well done". Thank you for being there and being you Jeanne. If words could ease your pain I would tell you a book but we all know it doesn't so may we just say God bless. Martha and Evelyn

So sorry for the loss of George! I remember he wasn't feeling well a few months back. Thank you for giving him such a great life.

Dear Jeanne,

It’s amazing how a few brief visits with a dog can leave such an impression. George was certainly one of a kind and a calm presence among all the little ones around him. I’m sure when Taloola comes a visiting again she will sense a presence missing. My girls, especially Mia, will be touched when they learn that George has passed away. But there’s no doubt that between you and his first Mom, George had a wonderful life, filled with love and a lot of companionship. He was actually a pretty lucky dog, and he will be missed by many. Pretty good legacy for anyone to leave behind.

Taloola loves lying on our front lawn and barking as people go by. She’s a wonderful dog and bless the day that you brought her into our lives.

Thinking of you,
Susan
