My granddaughter, "Lil Bit", has a wonderful, giving, loving heart. She loves coming to my house and seeing Starlight and the rest of the Pekes.
Lil Bit will be 9 years old next week. She has met children from other countries who are not as fortunate as she is and she wants to help. This blog has nothing to do with rescue of dogs-- but it is about the rescue of people.
Lil Bit is trying to raise money to build a well for a community that has no clean water. She and her friend are determined to do big things. They are putting together a carnival for July 14 to raise money. Even if they don't raise $15,000, anything they raise will go toward a well. You can see her page at:

Way to go! So wonderful to see young people with values! Taking after her grandmother and, I am sure, her mother!
