LEXIE--WELCOME TO RESCUE

Lexie has just come into our rescue family.    She was an owner turn in and in great need of help.
She is 5 years old, and only 9.5 pounds-- so thin.    She is very lethargic because she was full of worms and her iron/red blood count extremely low-- almost to the point of needing a transfusion.
She spent part of the day at the vet, getting blood tests, fluid and some food for her sensitive stomach.
She will need at least 3 weeks to build back up and I'll feed her 3-4 times a day.    She is on a lot of medication, antibiotics, probiotics, worming medicine... She can't be spayed or have a dental until she feels much better.
The dogs are checking her out-- Koko is letting her know that she is the boss!  (Sure you are, Koko--)  Rammi just wants to know when she will be ready to play!
Don't worry, Rammi, she is fine.   You know I'll take care of her.
If you would like to be a Lexie-buddy and help with her vet bills, just let us know.   I'm so glad she is now in rescue, getting the care she needs.    She's going to blossom as she feels better!
