MR. SHILOH

I posted Mr. Shiloh's picture last week.  He was surrendered by his family to a shelter-- they said they were allergic to him.   Maybe they were, but we hear this a lot.  He was 5 years old and not doing well at all at the shelter.  My friend, Barbara, went to pick him up for PVPC after we received a request to help him.  She sent me an email to let me know how he is doing-- and I'll get more pictures later.   In the midst of life, it's always good to read happy things, so I wanted to share with you.
Shiloh (they are trying to decide if this will remain his name) will sleep anywhere he can nestle on Barbara or next to her-- he is very attached to her!  He can be a little growly when he's picked up (I have one of those, too), and he's a little afraid of men, but he is getting better. (Barbara's husband and son are over 6'3" so I think Shiloh will learn that they are just fine.)  He met some "very bad Shepherds" while on a walk and one of Barbara's other dogs told them off!  He was protecting his new little brother!   Shiloh runs around like a race horse, he holds his head high and is so graceful.    I somehow think he will not be leaving my friend's home.   That's fine-- she has adopted four from us and I know how wonderful she is-- so Shiloh has landed well!   I can't wait to see more pictures of him!!
