LEIA AND CHU CHU

Chu Chu and Leia both had surgery Monday   Chu Chu was neutered and had his nose opened up (stenotic nares surgery).  Four of the five from Maryland had to have this done.

Leia was spayed and had stenotic nares surgery also.  But she also needed nasal fold surgery- removing the large folds under her eyes.  They were touching her eyes and impeding her vision.   Doing this surgery can prevent ulcers and scarring caused by hair hitting the eye.
Chu Chu and Zeke and Leia were all at our get together Saturday.  A party before surgery!
Leia had such a rough few days.  I watered her food to get more fluid in her.  I also made her popsicles out of food watered down.   She rested a lot.
She laid down in the yard.  All those stitches made life tough.  But she is already doing so much better.  Tail wagging and giving kisses has begun again.
Chu Chu has a tube in so he can’t get to his stitches.  He’s wearing a belly band as he works on being house trained.  They are improving.
They are amazing how they handle surgery and how they heal and their joy returns.    Stay tuned for updates  ❤️❤️
