Must Love Pekes is a blog for those who love Pekingese, their looks, their antics, their personalities. It is written by me, Linda, and I have been rescuing Pekingese for 14 years. Lots of them have gone through our home. We have loved them all.

PIKACHU HAS SURGERY
Pikachu is a young Peke we got from a Maryland shelter. He was scared at first-- but oh, once he knows you, he is such a love bug.
Like many Pekes, his eye fold (nasal folds) were so large, the hair was rubbing on his eyeballs. This can cause scarring and loss of sight and it's very important to have surgery for this.
I went to visit Pikachu today and he looks great! My vet did the surgery and he did such a wonderful job.
Pikachu hates his e-collar-- he has tried to get it off, but it's there to stay until his eyes heal. It hasn't gotten in the way of tummy rubs though-- he's getting plenty of those! Let us know if you'd like to adopt this sweet, little boy.
