FAREWELL KING HENRY TEDDY BEAR

King Henry Teddy Bear came into rescue a little over a year ago.  He was in a shelter in Maryland that works with our group and they asked if we could help him.
King Henry Teddy Bear was not a young boy-- but oh, I do love the seniors.   They just want to be loved and have a safe place to be.
King Henry Teddy Bear had great blood work, he got a hair cut to clean him up and he was so glad to be at Jeanne's.
Some other people love the seniors, too-- Pati was one of them.   She saw his face and had to have him.
He was adopted-- I love it!!     He had Christmas in his new home and lots of love all over.
He was a super sweet boy.
Here he was with Miki-Harley and his "aunt."
Over the week-end, he developed a very fast growing cancer in his mouth.  In just a few days, it had spread from the front  of his mouth to the back.    His mom checked to see what she could do for him-- but surgery would involve radiation for two weeks and the cancer was moving rapidly.    It was time to let him go.   This is the hardest decision to make for a pet owner.   There is just nothing easy about it.    He was on pain meds, and she wasn't going to let him suffer anymore.     We were all beside her in heart as she had to make this very difficult decision.
King Henry Teddy Bear is at peace now.     He lived the  last year of his life with so much love-- and I'm so thankful to Pati and all her family for the home and love he received.   Our hearts are with you, Pati.    Rest in peace, sweet sweet boy.

I'm so very sorry. Please accept my deepest condolences. Young or old...they steal our hearts and having to say good-bye is so difficult. My heart is aching for his loss ... RIP King Henry Teddy Bear. You were loved!
