Angie became a "heart dog"-- and most of us know what a gift that is.
Angie was a wonderful addition to the family.
In December of 2020, Angie was diagnosed with lymphoma after a lump was found on her neck.
She was part of a clinical trial at University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine to fight the cancer.
Anna said, "this research offers a potential for extending her life. It is also meaningful as not only will this research help other pets, but the technology will apply to human cancer treatments as well. We have been so touched by the knowledge and compassion of the research team."She was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma at Christmas time last year and with the generous support of some very special people, she had treatment.
She was doing so well until a few months ago.
She was brave and protective. She thought she was a big dog. Even though Angie didn't make it, the research she was part of will hopefully help other pets and people survive. Run free now, sweet girl. You will celebrate the holidays at the Rainbow Bridge.
