CROSBY-- WE NEED COFFEE!

Crosby and his mom would like to sleep in.  He thinks his mom should stay home and sleep in everyday!   If I woke up to this face, I'd agree.
His mom has a crazy sense of humor, so I had to include this.  I think she would agree.  LOL

                                                                  HAPPY SUNDAY!!

FAREWELL TAZ

Taz came into rescue in January with Cy and Gabie.
Their health was bad, and unfortunately Gabie didn't make it.   We wish we could fix everything.   Cy and Taz had a  lot of care and did well.
Taz and Cy were adopted together.
There were both so sweet!!
They loved each other and were close.
They loved their new home in North Carolina.  Their adopters were so loving.
They were both doing so well.
They loved snuggling with their dad.   But, this past week, Taz went to sleep and didn't wake up.   We don't know why.  It happens and it's SO difficult, not having any idea of why it happened.
Cy is getting a lot of extra snuggles and loads of love.    Taz, run to meet Gabie and know you have been greatly loved.  💙

DIAMOND AFTER SURGERY

Diamond came to us with very dry eyes.   (pictures below without her eyes-- )
One eye was formed well  but the other never formed fully (or was injured at some point).
She was totally blind, and the eye treatment was not helping to lubricate her eyes.   She wasn't comfortable.
She had her eyes removed and she is doing well.   Her foster mom, Jenn, has a special touch with her and Diamond knows she is close.
She has been improving steadily and can find her way around.  Blind dogs are amazing.
She has found her favorite spot to take a nap.   Her hair on her face will grow back and her medical care for her skin will continue.   Diamond is a precious and sweet girl.   She is happy and loving.  She will be available for adoption once her medical care is complete.

MAGOO-- THE ADVENTURE BEGINS!

Magoo has begun his adventure!
He found out they were moving.  But, they visited friends first.
They stayed in hotels-- nice!
Different states were on the menu.
The movers had come and the house was empty.  Where did everything go??
He tried out his travel crate for size.
He has a special stroller, too.

Magoo went to the airport yesterday.
You can't drive where he is going.
He likes the treats his dad had.
His dad even upgraded their tickets so Magoo could have a better time.  And he has a carrier, so he can travel with comfort.
He waited patiently to load onto the airplane-- yes!!  An airplane.

Next stop-- ITALY!!  Get ready, Italy.  Here comes Magoo!!   He's going to live there, so we will have a PVPC alumni there.   I know he will have lots of fun!!   And many new friends, too.

MAGOO-- GET READY FOR AN ADVENTURE!

The Potomac Six came in almost two years ago.   Licorice is now Magoo.
Here's Sissy-- she and Magoo look SO MUCH alike that I wonder if they were litter mates.
At first, Magoo had to be trimmed way down.    All of them were to get rid of mats and tangles.
He had a face that drew us in.
He was adopted to a wonderful family and he has had all kinds of adventures.
Did you go to work?
I found out that Magoo is moving.
He's resting up for the big trip!
He's been lots of places, but this new one will be more than we could have imagined for him.
Check out tomorrow's blog to see where he's going.   Hint-- he will be on an airplane today!!

TRIXIE AND PRINCETON

Trixie joined our rescue last September.   She was turned into a shelter by her owner.
Kim fostered her and Trixie and Princeton became friends.
He did a lot of vet visits with her.
We found out Trixie has kidney and blood pressure issues.  So, she has remained in rescue.
Trixie, like Zoey, doesn't know she's "sick."  She is full of herself and eats her special diet.   We just won't tell her she has medical issues.
Princeton is getting older, too.   He's a PVPC alumni.  He and Trixie make a sweet pair.  He's 17 pounds and she is 8-9 pounds-- just a little difference in their size.
Trixie is a tiny bundle of love.  Her foster family just adores her! 💗

FAREWELL SNEAKY WU

Sneaky Wu came into rescue in June of 2012.
He was turned into a shelter by a family who had a lot of dogs-- and they routinely took some to the shelter.
He was at Lucinda and Roger's and having a blast-- he even became airborne!
Joan adopted him and he became her world.
He was her best friend, companion, confidant... and so much more.
They celebrated holidays together.
Sneaky Wu went to the beach with her-- to a little house there that was a wonderful summer retreat.
Sneaky Wu loved his mom and followed her with his eyes.
He had a beautiful coat and she loved keeping his paw hair long.
Sneaky Wu was with Joan for ten years.
Her home had everything he needed-- even a special house just for him.
He let her dress him up for special days.
He began having dementia issues, and barking a lot.
Then, he began having more and more mobility issues and he was letting her go it was time.
Joan is devastate that he won't be there with her.   Her life centered around him.
He was greatly loved-- run free now, sweet boy.  Your momma will miss you more than you can imagine. 💙
