Gypsy came to us in March of 2021.
He had been found on the railroad tracks and the person who found him asked us for help.
We immediately took Gypsy into rescue.
It took time to let him build up some strength-- and his right eye was in bad shape. It had to be removed.
He did well with the surgery. He also had a mouth tumor and many of his teeth removed.
His foster mom, Sherry, wrote last year, "He is quite the devoted Peke. He doesn't let me out of his sight...follows me from room to room....we put up a baby gate at the front porch steps so that he (and the others) can go sit with us there. He became quite distraught when I was out there without him. We love this little guy! He's a sweet boy. 💙"Gypsy was still very medical. He needed to be on thyroid meds and heart meds. His heart murmur was a 5 (on a scale of 1-6). His foster mom Sherry and her niece, Jennifer, did everything he needed.
Due to his medical condition, Gypsy became a permanent foster, so that our group could take care of everything he needed.
He kept on going, but he was getting tired. He suddenly took a turn this past week and he was not comfortable. We won't let them suffer if we can't make them better.
Gypsy became part of the hearts of his two foster moms. He was loved immensely. As foster moms, we give them our hearts right back.

What a sweet angel. I know he will be greatly missed.
So glad Gypsy had love and care in the end of his life.
