He was adopted, but....we screened them carefully, but they decided they didn't want him. And they let him loose.
He went to a new foster home to decompress. He needed that time.
Marilyn was the perfect person to help Jelly.
He could take all the time he needed to feel safe again.
And he did begin to feel safe. And he knew he was loved.
He thought about it---and he talked to his mom.
"I'm staying!" And she listened and adopted him. 💗
Jelly and his family moved to Florida after his mom retired.
He was getting older. He had a bout of balance issues and vestibular issues.
But, he kept forging ahead.
He was having age issues, but he still enjoyed life.
His mom stayed in touch and I'm so glad she did-- we've been able to follow his life and his friends and his love for life. (Becoming friends with our adopters is such a gift.)
Jelly even had his own plaque, using his nickname. Jelly let his mom know he was ready-- he was thin and life became hard. He was held by her as he left this world. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge, surrounded by the love he's had over 11 years. Unconditional, precious love. Marilyn talked to him as she held him, and he left peacefully. You will be missed, sweet boy. Run free now, meet Cheech and your other friends. 💙
