MELINDA THE PEKE

I want you to meet Melinda the Peke figurine. She sits on my desk where I do so much of my Peke rescue work. My good friend, Melinda, lives in Australia. She sent me this figurine and I named it after her. She has the same one, and she named it--- are you ready?--- Linda! Melinda and I may never meet in person but our Peke hearts are united. Melinda has Moi Moi and CoCo. I love my Melinda Peke!

YOSHI, MONK AND NIPPY

Yoshi's "sister" Amanda came home to visit. Yoshi, of course, wanted to be cuddled and held. Monk and Nippy wanted some, too. Yoshi is doing great and is ready for his forever home!

PABLO AND SHADOW 2

Hi, Shadow! I see you there in the ivy.Lara is Pablo and Shadow's "sister." She just adores these dogs.Pablo adores her right back.He loves to be in the back yard with her-- I think he's getting ready to eat something-- a tasty bug, maybe?Is he just observing the bamboo? I have some of that in my yard, too.Maybe he's looking for his brother, Shadow.They like to hang out together.Pablo gives up though and decides to take a rest. Shadow, you are so cute-- I just love you!! All those months at my house put you in my heart!

MILLIE UPDATE

Millie had her eye removed today and the vet said she is doing great. She can come back to her foster home tomorrow. We set up a chip-in on our web site to help pay for her surgery. Thank you to all who are helping us with these costs.

NEED HELP

PABLO AND SHADOW 1

Pablo -- formerly Chubs of the Bristol 18-- has never had life so good. He went from devastating living conditions, to life is a wonderful, loving home.He is great friends with Shadow, adopted from us in early 2005. He was one of my foster dogs and I've always had a special place in my heart for him. He was six years old then, which means he is now almost 14. I think Pablo helps to keep him young. Chubs was one of the Bristol 18, and we were told he was about 6-7. We never really know, but he doesn't act old at all. Shadow and Pablo decide it's time to rest. And Pablo burrows in to get comfortable.Look for more blogs on Shadow and Pablo-- their "sister" sent me a lot of pictures and they are too cute not to share!

Shamey

Look who is at my house! Shamey, formerly Chavez (I made the beginning of his name the same, but changed it a bit), is very sweet. He's a little guy at 13.2 pounds. He met Scooter and they sniffed the border grass together.And they sniffed each other.Then, Shamey sniffed the bordergrass on his own.And sniffed it some more.And then he came inside. He's a little confused, but he'll find it's just fine here and a lot of fun. He's only four years old and will have lots of friends. :-)
