Leia had surgery Monday-- and it takes time to heal. There are things you can do to help. E-collars help protect their stitches.
But, e-collars can also hinder drinking, so you have to make sure they get enough fluids. Watered down canned food can be a great way to get more water into them. Leia loves it!
Rocking in the hammock also helps soothe them. Leia just relaxed the day after surgery as we spent time just swinging.
She's a little Houdini though and she managed to get her foot around her e-collar and got to her nasal fold stitches. Now she has a bigger e-collar on.
Popsicles are her favorite though. I let Zeke taste it but Leia pushed him right out of the way.

It's just made with a little dog food, mixed with water and put into popsicle holders. Oh my, she couldn't get enough. She is getting better, but I watch her and make sure she gets fluid, and care and lots of love. 💜
