Rick (aka Bric) came into rescue in April of 2021. He was terrified in a shelter. They can be scary places.
Marti offered to foster him, and he went to live with Susie.
Rick ended up with some behavioral issues, so he became a permanent foster.
His foster mom loved him and understood his quirky ways.
He trusted her and was good-- most of the time. :-) He knew he was safe in her home.
Rick was older when we got him, and he turned 17 this year. Marti gave him incredible care.
He had some health issues, like most older dogs, but he didn't like to take pills. She hid them in ice cream, which he loved!
Rick began to have trouble walking and Marti could tell he was in pain.
We both went to the vet with him to say good-bye.
He is now free from pain; he sees and hears perfectly, and he is peaceful. Run free, little one. 💙
