Koda was turned into the shelter because his owners could not afford to take care of him. His eyes were in rough shape.
We had him at the ophthalmologist immediately. He definitely needed help.
He went to a foster to adopt home and they’ve been amazing w him.
They took him to see the ophthalmologist in N Virginia.
Surgery was the following week.
He was scheduled for a recheck but before that happened, he hurt his eye. He may have rubbed on something. Pekes are smart and he didn’t let the e-collar get in his way. 😫
If you look closely at this picture, you can see his stitches.
He needed another surgery. He had a recheck this week and needs another 2 weeks w the e-collar.
He’s doing better w his eye drops. He lets his foster mom put them in now. His foster parents will be adopting him. ❤️
He’s going to be ready for them to adopt him soon. He will need eye meds for life. I think most of us have Pekes who need eye drops. (Dickens and Gwennie both have to have eye drops twice a day.)
Koda has a wonderful future and has so much love already. 🥰
