AUTUMN HEADS HOME

 Autumn has been adopted!    When we got this young female, she was VERY heartworm positive.  For a dog who was only a year old, it was terrible to see.  But, after the care that Lucinda (our Roanoke vet) and Roger gave her, she did great and is now in her new home.  

She'll have doggy friends to play with and parents who dote on her.    We're so excited for you Autumn!!    Your name fits-- it was when you began your new life with your new family. :-)

CHESTER IN OCTOBER

 Chester is our blind Peke mix -- we were told he was a Peke, but we sense a bit of French Bulldog in there.  Check out his ears!   Or maybe he is just "at attention!"  

Whatever he is, he sure is sweet.  His foster mom, Toni, just loves him!   She tells me, "Gotta get me some Chester." :-)     He probably went blind shortly into his life.    There's nothing we can do for him.  But, it doesn't get in his way at all!    He can navigate just fine, go through the doggy door and play a lot.    He will make someone a wonderful pet and family member.   Just let us know if you want him to join your family.  

SMALL PEKE?

Someone asked me to remember them if we got a small Peke or if I knew of one.    Please remind me who you are-- :-)

DESI AND FRIENDS AT THE CABIN

 When Desi went on vacation this summer, she let a few Peke friends go along.   Bear was one of them.    Look how handsome he is!   He's one of our foster dogs who has a bit of Pekatude.    Some just need Peke-savy owners.   

 Wanda went along, too, and I can tell she took full advantage of the vacation.   She's my kind of girl!  Only I don't really know how to relax on vacation.   Actually, I went on a little vacation last week and actually read some.  And sat... and relaxed.    I didn't know what to do with no dogs along-- but they were fine with my housesitter.

 And Bear got in it.    He didn't like the sign "don't feed the bears."   He took it personally!   Don't worry Bear, they're going to feed you.

 Then Desi, Wanda and Bear posed on the swing.  Oh, what a life.

 Bear was ready to come in-- is anyone there?  I'm ready!

He found the floor vent and loved it-- we can tell.    I'm so glad you all had a wonderful break and a lot of fun!

SEBASTIAN

 Sebastian has visited my home a few times.    He is such a nice boy!    He was rescued from a local shelter-- I thought he was dying, but he just needed a chance.   

His foster parents decided they couldn't live without him-- so he is staying.  I'm so excited for them.    They are incredible foster parents and have an amazing love for animals-- so glad Sebastian gets to live with them!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STARLIGHT!

 Today is Starlight's birthday-- here she is with my granddaughter Bitty Bit.   This was several years ago, but Starlight still loves my grandkids!
