EMBER “”EMMIE” ADOPTED

Ember was in a shelter in January.  She had been abandoned in an apartment by her owners.   She was in rough shape and terrified.
A wonderful previous adopter fostered her and got her through a lot of medical care.  Emmie began to trust some as she healed.  Her mouth had a mass removed when she had a dental.  She had many teeth removed.  She had meds for a respiratory infection.
Someone wanted her. 💓 Something about Emmie was drawing them to her. Off she went to her new home.

Emmie was still dealing w trust and anxiety.  They weren’t giving up.  We stayed in contact often.   We want the best fit for Peke and adopter.
Emmie began to feel safer.  She can be a little temperamental.  Her new mom said, “We have her on a good routine and have fallen in love with her crusty, grumpy personality. We are officially welcoming her to our family to be loved and cared for."
Emmie is now in a safe and caring place for the rest of her life.   She has a brother Piper, also adopted from us. Emmie deserved her new home, especially after all she went through.  I'm so happy for her!! 💗

DELLA (FORMERLY MISS POLO)

Della came into rescue in January.  She was in a NC shelter and we were happy to help.
She was a beauty and very sweet.   We were told she was about 11.   We don't get as many females as males for some reason, so I knew Della wouldn't last long.
She has taken control of her new home and her new family just adores her.   She is in control of the bed at night and she let them know she sleeps in the middle.  LOL
Della could be a Peke model.  I love this picture.   I'm so glad she came to us to find her forever home.

FAREWELL MOLLIE

Mollie came into rescue in 2013.  She had been in a Virginia shelter and was terrified.
She needed a special foster home where she could decompress, and Amee offered to help her.
It was perfect for Mollie and she made a secret plan to stay there.   She even sent me an email.
Must Love Pekes: MOLLIE (AKA MISSY)
Mollie had a good friend named Maddie.  Maddie was adopted by Amee’s friend and they could see each other often.
Mollie learned to relax.
She was a precious girl.
Mollie was her mom's work helper.   She liked being on top of the desk,
Mollie had 11 wonderful years with her mom and dad.  She had many friends
at her home with the dogs who were there.
Mollie  began to have heart issues.  She had the best care she could get. But her heart was giving out.  It was her time and her mom did the most loving thing she could.  She held her as Mollie left.

Mollys family and all her doggy friends will miss her so much.  Run free now sweet girl. 💕

SYMPHONY AND CHELLO- ADOPTION PENDING!

Symphony above and her friend Chello came into rescue the end of January.
They were in a rural shelter and we were able to help them.
They were a little confused when we got them, but there was hope in their eyes.
They needed medical care.    Many medications and visits to the cardiologist for Chello.   Both needed dentals.   They learned they were safe, they learned that they could go in and out with the rest of the dogs there.   Symphony realized she LOVED being out in the rain.  She will resist coming in from the rain.   She loves being outside.  Chello runs in and out saying "I wish she would come in 😂 It's wet."
Symphony and Chello had been "shaved" down before we got them.  But, their coats have grown out and they are beautiful.
Symphony was small and Chello was bigger.   We don't know if Symphony was his mom, his sister by another litter-- we just don't know.
But, the vet thinks Chello is younger.   Chello is laid back and loves attention.  In fact, they would both just hang out in your lap.   They love attention.   Symphony is a bit bossy LOL.   She thinks she is in charge.  😂
They were in an awesome foster home.    Symphony had a lot of visits and surgery at the Vet Ophthalmologist.   She needed surgery on both eyes.   She was a good patient and she healed well.   She saw the ophthalmologist yesterday and she got the "clear."   YAY!
They are going to their new home on Saturday and we are SO excited for them.   Their future mom is ecstatic about them joining her home.    All of our fosters need loving homes, but these two have struck gold.   PVPC is so happy for them.  💜💙

OSCAR- THE UNFOSTER BOY ❤️

Oscar was in a shelter near me.
His owner could no longer take care of him.
Kim (a PVPC adopter) said she would get him and foster him.   The shelter said it would be easier if she just adopted him, so she did.
Oscar is 6 years old, and right away, he began to make sure they loved him.   He was on a mission to stay with them.
He had zoomies, and loved walks, and he loved the dogs he met, and he loved people...
Well- his plan worked!
His new mom and dad realized he couldn't be a foster dog.   He was an "unfoster dog."   He was already home!  I'm SO happy for Oscar!

LOUIE AND LADY

Lady and Louie are best friends, and both PVPC alumni.
Lady came into rescue in 2021.  I received a message from a shelter asking us to take her.   Her owner turned her in (a mystery), but Lady had been well cared for.
I picked her up and she fit right in.   It's so easy to fall in love.
I had so many applications for her.  She was 13, healthy and a beauty.  We chose a perfect home for her.  Her mom had adopted  Louie (and Katie RIP) in 2011, so I knew her.  Louie loved having a friend.
Lady and Louie became best friends.   Karma, the grand dog also came to visit.
Karma is SO sweet!
Lady and Louie are both getting older, but they still guard the house.
They are beautiful, happy Pekes.
Their mom shares a lot of pictures of them-- and each one makes my heart smile.
I bet they make you smile, too!
