LOTS OF PEKES

 Maddie loves his stuff toy, but his favorite thing is....

Look at this beauty!   We just got him on Saturday.  He is about two years old and w have named him Cody.   He was freshly groomed, so I don't know why he wasn't claimed.    He needs medical care and then will be available for adoption.  I love his markings!

Butterscotch is at home in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.    He likes to go to the fence to chat with the big dog next door.    I think they've become good friends.   Everyone needs a friend.

I did a blog the other day on Lacy and Winks-- I forgot to put this one.   It's one of my favorites, too.   I love the ones  of Pekes with flowers-- something about the coloring and how cute they look.    Hello, Mr. Winks!

Muggles is waiting for her forever home.   Really, little girl, isn't there another place you can keep a look-out? :-)

Last is sweet Popsickle.    He's an older boy, but so sweet!    He hadn't been cared for, and he's enjoying all the love now.      Hugs to you, sweet one!    

FAREWELL FRANKIE

 Angela's Frankie died after a long battle with bone cancer.   He was only 12 years old.

 He loved to sit quietly in the yard and enjoy being outside.  

 Frankie was no in severe pain,  but the vet said he had hit the stage where he was just existing.   He was fighting to just stay alive.     The timing on letting a precious pet go is so hard-- only the owner can really know.    

 Angela said Frankie was the best Peke she ever had.     He's wasn't dramatic, or stubborn, (well, maybe a little stubborn), he was well behaved.    

Angela will miss her little boy and we're so sorry.  Rest in peace, Frankie.

FAREWELL SCARLETT

  Jeff said goodbye to his sweet Scarlett this morning.     He said, "I had the great privilege to be with my precious Scarlett this morning as she left this world. The past week had been difficult for her. She was my first rescue and will always have a special place in my heart. I also know that she will be waiting for me on the other side and as I have always said, if my pets aren't in heaven, I'm not going in!"

  

  We are so sorry for your loss, Jeff!    Rest in peace, sweet girl.

SIR JENKINS

Look at that sweet face-- just love Sir Jenkins!   He joined his forever family.

Mika wasn't too thrilled haha.  She is definitely the boss there!

Can you find him?   I don't think he has enough toys!

He sure loved the kids!

He has Milo and Luca to lounge with now.

He is a happy boy-- he came a long way from the puppy mill he was in!

 The puppies are doing well-- Cici is being a good mama.

CICI AND HER PUPPIES

 Cici came into rescue last month-- and we  found out she was going to have puppies.

 We thought Miki, the black one, was the father, since they were found together.     (How could someone not have looked for them!)

 Yesterday, Jeanne was up all night and the puppies started coming early in the morning.  

 Look at that tiny face!

 There were six puppies, but two didn't make it.  So sad-- but we have four who are doing well.  The weights ranged from 5.6 ounces to 7 ounces each.

 This pictures makes me smile-- it's how new mothers probably feel-- TIRED!

CHLOE--HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Chloe was adopted three years ago!   Her mom just adores her!   Don't you love her "shades?"  

Chloe was turned into us by a Williamsburg family and she was 9 years old.    She is now 12-- but she sure doesn't look it.

Chloe's mom said she is the favorite dog in the neighborhood.   People will stop to tell them how cute she is. Her mom loves that!
