Paddington, Piper, Barty, and Callie stayed with our daughter. (I get her dogs for their vacation.) We went to Missouri—a two day drive. Sissy thought the grass was crunchy. It’s very dry there.
She wanted no part of going outside.
She would stay inside and use her piddle pad.
She would lay on it, too. Ummmmm. No matter how long we were out (not long with the heat), she would NOT go to the bathroom outside there. She will at home. 🤷
You can see for miles in Missouri. We all went to our favorite restaurant. So much fun!! Being with family is awesome.
The sunrises and sunsets in Missouri are like paintings.
Reflections on still rivers…
Matt’s mom is incredible. Full of energy and love. I took Sissy because of her seizures. She is very bonded to me. But she was stressed the whole time. I think she was so afraid I would leave her.
We sat on the screened porch together to watch for deer. We saw some!
Big yard—Missouri style. Early morning of the day we began home. Another car ride? Big bridges.
Night views of the same bridge. It’s the Stan Musial Bridge.
It’s outside St. Louis crossing the Mississippi River. More bridges.
State capital in West Virginia. I look for that every time we drive through. I’ve seen it many, many times. I took time to just look at the scenery. Beauty all around. We saw state signs — Illinois, indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia.
“”Are we home yet?”
I look back on the pictures I took. I shared them with my good friends so they could enjoy them, too.
Rural barns and farms are more my style. Sissy slept— I looked out the window. Mountain scenes brought me peace.
Early morning fog.
What are your favorites? Rural, city, lake, beach, or open spaces.
Traveling can help you see so much that we can’t see on a daily basis.
I loved it—but it was good to be home. Sissy and I are homebodies. Paddington ….
And the rest were glad we were home, too.
And I can keep looking at the pictures I took.
Rural or urban?

I loved it all !!!
I think I saw one of those famous covered bridges too !!
Rural, 100%! I live in the woods now, half a mile from our nearest neighbor. Being in the farm country does my soul good, especially when I travel down thru Wisconsin to visit my sister. LOVE your photos!
