Some days are hard
Some days in rescue aren’t what you think they will be.
You can hold your dog and have some quiet snuggle time. Dogs seem to understand when you need some help. I needed some.
Then I walked outside w the dogs. It was warm and quiet. Peaceful.
And then out walked Callie. With a grapefruit. A grapefruit!
Callie grabbed the grapefruit off the counter 🤣🤣.
Why?!? She had it in her mouth and then set it down. So I gently kicked it and off she went. My dog chasing a grapefruit. Bizarre. Hilarious. Freeing of some of the sadness I was carrying.
Guess I didn’t want it anyway. Thanks, Callie, for helping to brighten my day. ❤️
