PADDINGTON AND CINNAMON'S LOVE STORY

                                                    PADDINGTON AND CINNAMON

Paddington and Cinnamon adore each other.   It began when she came to us.

She came into rescue on December 10, 2023.  This is her after she was cleaned up.  She was underweight, her hair was short.  She was undernourished.  She was afraid of everything.
Somehow, Paddington knew she needed help.  And it began.
She began to follow him around.  And he watched over her.
She curled up by him almost by instinct.
"Yes, I'll watch over her."
She was so small next to him.   She has gained a pound and a half since then.
He showed her that the yard wasn't scary.
She has gotten so much better from whatever she went through.  But she is still afraid of most people.
 Paddington is always there.
She will crawl into his bed to snuggle.
She is rarely alonE.   But sometimes she will get into the kitchen bed if I'm in the kitchen.
Piper (at the bottom of the picture) is often on the couch with her and Paddington.
There colors are similar, she is a softer brown red while he is red.
When I have coffee in the morning, she loves to rest her head on his back.
And he lets her.  We've been amazed how good he is with her.
Paddington has a reputation as "Bad Pad" but never with her.
The toy dog is almost as big as she is.  (She's about 12 pounds now.)
Can you see her?  She is between Piper and Paddington.
It looks like a stand off-- but it's not.  She's just adoring him.
Dickens has joined the coffee couch group.  Paddington is very good with him, too.  But it's not at all the same as he is with Cinnamon.
I do often find them all in a group.
There is still a little room for me.
It might be just three-- Piper is protecting our back yard from the ottoman in the other room.
Sometimes, Paddington rests his head on her.  And it's so sweet.

Cinnamon has now helped others feel better- like Missy Mistletoe when she came with the Christmas pups.
Cinnamon loves Piper, too.
But, it's nothing like her love for Paddington.
There they are-- best, best friends.  💙💜💕
