BURRITO DOGS

It's April, but it's still chilly here.   So, blankets and afghans and fireplaces are being used a lot right now    Toasty looks like a burrito. 

Crosby looks like one, too-- snuggly.  

Gomez lives further north, so he's definitely not getting spring weather.  A blanket is nice! 

Janine’s boy doesn't have a blanket.  But he has his hamburger.   That will do.  

Reba has her legs wrapped around a blanket.   I see a blanket behind her if she needs it. 

Catherine isn't a burrito, but she's very comfy.  

Rocco thinks the dog bed is a blanket.  I guess it works. 

Chewy and Chewie -- a double burrito!! 

Bruno is content in the bed.  I'm sure he will be covered with a blanket if he needs one.

Buddy and Mia are both burritos in their own beds.   

Mia (a different one) is under cover here.   She's adorable. 

Buddy is wrapped up in hearts.  Lots of love there.  💓

Magoo lives in Italy.   I don't know the weather there, but his blanket looks plush.  He's a PVPC alumni.

 TD likes to be a burrito-- and he likes to have a morning hand game with his dad.   He's a sweet boy when he wants to be.  LOL   I think I'll wrap up in the blanket and be a burrito for awhile.   Warm weather is coming.  I keep saying that myself -- WARM WEATHER COMING.  😍 

ZEKE—DADDYS BOY

I told you about Peppermint being a daddy’s girl.  Well, Zeke is a daddy’s boy. 

Zeke is such a great boy.  If we were going to keep another, it would have been Zeke the Peke. 

But I knew a better place for him.  (And I knew there might be a medical one later who needed us.)

Zeke was adopted by friends — I met them when they adopted years ago and we’ve been friends ever since.  (I’m so lucky! I’ve met the best people in rescue.) 

Zeke loves both his mom and dad.  But he LOVES his dad. 

Zeke loves his walks.  If it rains, he’s all set.  

He looks so cute in this!  

And off he goes.  

After each walk, he thinks  he deserves a treat and if his dad forgets, Zeke will let him know.  

And then, he’ll play w a toy…

Or pull more out of the toy box.  He has a LOT. 

This was the perfect home for the perfect dog.   Rescue brings such joy. 🥰
 

TOASTY - WHERE ARE THE BOWLS?

All our dog bowls are missing.  Where did you put them?   We’re looking at you Toasty  

They could be under the couch. In corners. Behind furniture.  The possibilities are endless. Maybe they want to eat on good china today!  😉.

PENNY AND SPRING

Penny is one of the last ones of the Bristol 18 we took into rescue in 2010.  Colby was one of the puppies and he still lives near me 😁

Penny was one of a pair or group but now she’s her mama’s only girl and she’s getting so much attention.  

Spring is supposed to be warm and fun.  But it’s been cold and rainy. 

She loves it when her mom wraps her up in blankets. It’s nice and cozy that way. 

An even better idea is to just stay inside on the couch where it’s warm.  Warm weather is coming.  It’s just not here yet.  ☀️

SYMPHONY AND CHELLO UPDATE

Symphony and Chello came into rescue in January of this year.  

They were in rural Virginia.   And they needed help. 

They needed a lot of medical care and they’re getting it.  From ophthalmologist visits, vet visits, eye surgeries, cardiac ultrasounds to dentals.  They needed it all.  They’re so sweet.  Chello is bigger but Symphony is the tiny boss. 

We have a wonderful home ready and waiting for this precious pair.  They have so much in store for them. ❤️❤️

SWEET GIDGET

Gidget came into rescue in December 2021.  

At my house, she was so sweet.  She had a history of seizures so we waited.  She just happened to have a seizure when we were at the vet.  She received immediate help.  We were able to begin her on medication. 

She stayed w my friend, Amee, when I went on vacation. And that was it.  She was home. 

Gidget is now the boss there.  She monitors her mom at work.  She is the queen bee. 

She cuddles w her sisters.   

Gidget is now 13.  That’s hard to believe.  Her mom absolutely adores her and she adores Gidget’s singing ❤️😂.  Oh she can sing!  🎶🎵🎤. It’s the perfect home for Gidget. 

TOASTY-ROUGH LIFE

“What?!  You want to to give me a bath?”

“This is humiliating.” 

Now he’s ready for a walk. Is anyone ready? 

What a sad face.  You have a big yard to run in.  And Rosie behind you loves to run the fence w you.  And you walk w Tuk Tuk on the paths often.  I think you’ll make it. 🤣

I guess a tummy rub will have to do. 😍🤷
