ACE
Pekes have long backs— as long as Dachshunds sometimes. So, it’s not hard to have a back injury. Ace was trying to follow his mom when he tripped and fell down some steps. It happens. (He’s snuggles w his dad here).
If you think your Peke has a back issues, you can look for some of these:
Hunched back
Abnormal walk
Shivering
Loss of appetite
Not wanting to move
Stiffness
There are others. If you think your dog has injured his/her back, take them to the vet. An X-ray will probably be done. Anti inflammatory meds and rest will probably be recommended. A small area like a bathroom or a playpen work well. The 4th to 5th day may show improvement. The 2nd and 3rd day may be the worst. Don’t give up. Time usually helps.
Bandit is keeping Ace company while he rests. Don’t worry, sweet one, you’ll feel better soon.
