MAGOO IN HAWAII

Magoo came into rescue in October of 2020.  He was part of the Potomac Six group in NC.  

He's lived all over and now he lives in Hawaii.  Look at him near the beach.  

Did he get his feet wet?  

He goes so many places with his mom and dad.  And he is so happy.  

He loves when his grandkids visit.  He sits on the blanket and watches them play.

Sometimes he has time to "sun bathe"-- under an umbrella of course.  

He helps with the cooking-- in hopes of something falling.

He's been with his family over 5 years now.  And what a life he has.  💙
 

HUNTER AND JINGLE

Hunter and Jingle were both my fosters.  Hunter was a puppy under a year old. 

Could he jump?  I thought he was part kangaroo and he was fast too.  Leaping baby gates was no problem.  

Hunter has found the cat tree is no problem to get on. 

He sits there like he owns the place. 😂. 

Jingle loves looking out the front window. He looks dejected—but we know better. lol 

These two, adopted together, have a beautiful life. 💙💙
 

DAISY FINDS A HOME

Daisy was at a shelter and she was not very cooperative.  She was scared, surrounded by so many dogs and sounds.   So, 2 of our helpers went to evaluate her.  She walked right over to one and got on his lap.  We didn't expect that, but it showed a wonderful side of her.   Some dogs just do not do well at shelters.

She got to her foster home and just observed.  She then tried to play with Bogie and Rey. 

Daisy followed her foster parents around.  She even waited with Bogie at the bottom of the stairs.  She was doing much better. 

She wouldn't let the shelter put a harness on her, but now she goes on walks and is so good. She's been bathed and had a lot of knots cut out.  But, she's going to have a professional groom with one of our board members who is awesome at this.  

Daisy's foster family has adopted 7-9 dogs from us.   I lose count.  They are wonderful owners! 

So, I was thrilled they wanted to keep her.  

Now, she can enjoy a home and love and attention the rest of her life.  💜
 

THURSTON AND THEODORA AND SNOW

Theodora lives in New England, and it can get cold there.  

She's all set up with a warm coat. 

Thurston, her brother is too.  

Normally, they have dry ground to run and play.  Their mom is a master at dog care and so there are often more friends to play with.  

This is their area recently. Look at all that snow!

Theodora and Thurston's mom and dad live further south.

But when they looked outside, they saw this.  

There was white stuff everywhere. 

Don't worry-- they all had safe areas-- that's a lot of shoveling! 

It's better to stay inside unless it's necessary to go out.   It will be awhile before all that melts!  
 

FRESIA AND SCOUT

Fresia and Scout got snow where they live. 

These pictures are from last year but they could have been this past weekend. Scout didn’t look happy w the snow. 

Fresia said it was better inside. 

She’s beautiful just like Scout. 

 Scout had a dental last week. Her mom asked what the record was for losing teeth during the procedure.  I said I thought it was 15- that was Dickens.  Scout lost 11. Peke mouths are so crowded because their teeth are trying to fit into a shorter mouth.  She’s healing nicely and watching the snow from inside.  ❄️😁

THE SNOW WAS A BUST

The weather said we were going to have a big storm-- 8-12 inches of snow.  

Paddington and Piper set up a watch.  They were monitoring the weather. 

Dickens wanted to help. 

They worked together.  

They all cuddled for a nap while the storm made its progress.  

I looked out during the night-- it was really windy.  But I didn't see much snow. 

When we went outside, no one got stuck.  "Where's all the snow?" asked Dickens.  

Well, it just didn't come.   Instead of a lot of snow, we got a small amount, maybe an inch or two.  Just enough to be pretty, but not enough to be dangerous.   It's very cold still, so they all have sweaters.  For now, we'll just stay inside.  ❄❄

BETHANY AND HER FRIENDS

Bethany was one of the Christmas pups.  She came in December 2025 in the first group.  

Sunny and Hannah there before Bethany arrived.  All PVPC alumni now.  Bethany is so much smaller.  

Hannah (on the bottom) loves to play.  She runs around the yard with Bethany, and it helped Bethany feel safe there. She was very timid when we got her.  Sunny is too old for all that activity, so he watched them.  They look like triplets born in different years.  LOL
