MEMORIES

Starlight…All of us have special memories that come up at Christmas.  I remember my parents, my sister and special friends who are no longer here.  But I also know we are creating new memories every day. 

Lexie was my first IMHA Peke.  Oh she was a sweetheart. She loved the tiny tennis balls. 

If you’ve known me for long you know how Kai Kai and I had such a bond.  I love putting my face to his hair and breathe in the love. 

Bee Bee and Nala.  Losing them both, especially Nala, was difficult.  My second and third IMHA dogs. 

Minnie was beautiful under the tree. 

Tiny Clara was so loving.  I could hold in my hand. 

Cranberry was the first Mama Dog here.  She could look over her domain but she wouldn’t come down until she realized everyone was having fun except her. 

Minnie again at Christmas, snuggled in w some toys. 

Callie is still w us.  She’s old and gets meds for high blood pressure and other old age things.  She’s still happy, a little slower.  She’s definitely Mama Dog now. 

 Kenobi wasn’t here long but what an impression he made.  So much sweetness.  Every time I see the red sweater I remember him. 

My gang of Five loved ones. They each left an imprint on my heart. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Gidget (adopted by Amee) and Sissy.   Gidget is still singing at Amee’s house.  Sissy was a precious one. 

Each one was a special part of my life. Christmas is a  time of  hope.  I believe tomorrow we will be making joyful new memories.  If you’d like to post a special memory. I’d love for you to share.

A CAMP RUNAMUCK CHRISTMAS

Christmas is two days away!   It's coming so fast this year.  Hunter is ready!  Sitting on the table instead of the couch.  

The house is decorated.  

A miracle already happened-- Hunter and Cinnamon were in the same bed!

Hunter also explored decorations he could get to. Who is that Santa.  

I listened to YouTube videos like "Christmas in Oxford" and it's so relaxing.  Callie wanted to be in the picture. 

The Christmas Star was the first thing I put up.  It's 60 years old.  

So many memories come with Christmas.  This tree skirt was made by my sister years ago.   It's a sweet memory of her.  

Sometimes, I just put on the gas logs and sit a minute-- that's all, since I'm joined by multiple dogs on the couch.  Hunter thinks I'm there just to play.   So much for relaxing.  

Lady Jicky has sent me things from Australia, so I have a kangaroo section.  Koalas, too. 

She sent this big koala that has a prominent place.  I love it because it reminds me of Melinda and our sweet friendship for a very long time.

Hunter and Cinnamon again-- he loves her.  He wants to play with her.  She does NOT feel the same way.  He's the pesky puppy.

I have wreaths all over.  I put decorative scarves or table runners behind them.  

This one is made with the bottoms of very large pinecones from very long ago.  It's a favorite.  

This picture reminds me of Starlight.  

Look closely-- this is my first Peke as an adult-- it's Kubla Khan of Monterey Bay-- Kubie.  

Starlight of course, holds a main position.  

Poinsettias and wreaths and ornaments are all over.  

The red hanging ornaments were my mom's-- 💕

The china hutch was my grandmother's.  

  Must Love Pekes: MAKING CHRISTMAS TREE SNOW

I put homemade snow on the tree each year-- my grandmother's recipe.  She died before I was born, so it's even extra special.  I remember stories of her every Christmas.  And look closely, the Pekes are pulling the sleigh in the window. 

Paddington and Piper helped me supervise.  They were so good. 

By the end, Hunter had used the office couch...

Yogi a PVPC foster is all set for Santa to come down the chimney.

Dallas and Lex sent a card to celebrate w me.

Hunter decided walking on a wire crate top was a good idea.  It’s just a hidey hole Hunter.  You’re not a billy goat. 

I told you that Hunter just wanted a nap.  He’s storing up energy for his next adventure. 

Zeke the Peke had a matching Santa suit. 🎅

After she was adopted several years ago, Hannah saw Santa. 

Sophia Francesca was so good when she met Santa. 

Polo posed a an old Santa picture.  He’s an older boy now, so he stays close yo home.  

Lil’ Cali Gurl volunteered to help w all the Christmas letters.
