Scooby came into rescue last summer, in August. He was turned in by his owner and he had not had any medical care. He is a beautiful, sweet 3 year old who weighs about 15 pounds.
He had not been given heartworm preventative and he was heartworm positive, so we did the treatment and he is doing great now! No more heartworms! (The treatment is rough, so please make sure you give your dogs heartworm preventative. I use Sentinel for my own dogs, but there are many choices-- your vet can tell you which is best for your dog.)
Scooby is a talker, and he loves attention. He wants to sit on your lap to get as close as he can. He loves his meals and will tell you "all about it" while you are fixing them. He loves walks and is good on a leash. He loves to play fetch with his ball and thinks car rides are fun!
He will get your attention by taking your shoe and laying on it so that you notice him-- not that you wouldn't notice him anyway! (He doesn't chew on it, though.) He is just adorable.
