I already had Mattie-- sweetest girl-- and she immediately took Benjamin "Benny" under her wing.
He amazed me-- with little to no vision in his beautiful eyes, he could do so many things, like going up and down stairs.
He could get around the yard, and lack of vision was not a handicap for him.
My Kai Kai and Benny had so many similarities-- their coats were both stunning red with black highlights.
Both were blind, both incredibly sweet.
Benny went to the Farm with me before my daughter moved. He got along with everyone.
But, Mattie was his best friend.
I would think he could sometimes see-- like the day I was painting cabinets and he was "peeking through" at me.
You would never guess he couldn't see.
He was adopted by Rita and he could not have had a better, more loving home.
Benny was SO relaxed there.
So precious.
He "looked for" Mattie.
He even looked for his mom when she took something outside.
They were both the loves of her day.
Benny had such a sweetness about him.
His sister, Mattie, was such a pal of his.
They were always together.
They came to visit, and Benny ran into the house, down the hall, around the kitchen counter, and out the back door. He remembered! Amazing!! He was so smart.
His mom, and his sister Mattie, will both miss him so much. I know Starlight, his buddy here, and so many others, met him with kisses. Run free now, sweet one. You were so special.
