FAREWELL DAISY

Daisy has been part of our PVPC family for a long time.   Her Dad is one of our good friends.
Daisy was adopted from a rescue near where Rich lives in Pennsylvania.  She had been with him a long time.
She was so beautiful.
She was originally adopted with Onslow.
Onslow had a severe back issue years ago and went to live with Lucinda and Roger and have surgery there.   They fell in love with him and he joined their family.
Daisy loved having her dad to herself.   She was his special girl.
She was happy and healthy and full of joy.
Meeting Santa was so much fun.  Her dad said, "She ruled the neighborhood and walking her was a treat because she would let every dog know that they were on her sidewalk and they needed to cross the road. She always had the last bark."  The neighbors adored her.  For many, Daisy was the first Pekingese they had ever met-- she was a wonderful ambassador for the breed.
Daisy and her dad were so close and loving.  You can see it.  See how her head is leaning toward him?
3-4 weeks ago, Daisy began having stomach issues.    Off to the vet she went.   Everything was done, but Daisy's condition did not improve.    Her intestines were very inflamed and nothing helped.   Seizures began and Daisy was declining rapidly.   Rich knew it was time.
Daisy was 12-13 and totally loved by her dad.  Losing her was heartbreaking.  He held her for four hours before she left.   He kissed her and the last thing Daisy did was turn to give her Daddy kisses.  She loved him so much.   Run free now, Sweet Daisy.     💜
