FAREWELL PRECIOUS MATTIE

In 2017, my daughter found Mattie in a crate outside a bank.   After asking if anyone saw the owner (no one), my daughter brought her to me. 

All Mattie’s papers were under her blanket.   

We were able to locate and talk to her owner who was in a rough situation and couldn’t care for her.   

(Yes there was a better way to do this, but the owner was desperate. She just needed help.). 

Mattie was in rough shape, but a bath and good food and vet care were given. And she met our Starlight!  

I fostered Benjamin/Benny at the same time.  He was a stray in a Baltimore and was totally blind.  They became friends.  

Rita adopted them both!  

Such sweet Pekes! 

They loved their new mom.. 

And they loved their new life.  

Mattie helped her mom. 

She posed for adorable pictures. 

They even came back up visit and I Benjamin remembered the way to the back yard.  ❤️  He passed away in 2019. 

And Gracie joined the family.  

After Gracie passed away, Mattie decided to foster Cash.  And they adopted him.  So much love.   

Mattie had the most incredible 5 years of love w Rita.   The past few months, Mattie had serious health issues.   Then, a large tumor was found in her chest and it was time to let her go.    Mattie was an incredibly loving Peke.  We called her “Mattie of the ears” because her ears often stood straight out.  Beautiful.  

Run free precious girl.   You were greatly loved and will be so missed.
