SOPHIE

I received a comment on a blog I did over four years ago.   It was about a little girl we took into rescue and I was asking for a name.   If you want to look back, here is a link to that blog.  Must Love Pekes: NEW PEKE-- HELP NAME HER
That sad little girl turned into Sophie, who is a beautiful girl.
I fostered her, and her mom came to meet her.  We sat in the yard, in the shade, for about two hours.  I still remember.  Tricia didn't want to let go of this precious one.
She was so sad looking in the shelter picture.  Her nails were long, she was in terrible shape, neglected and blind.
But, rescue changed her life.  Look at her now.  She is cherished and stunning.  Her mom takes the best care of her.    She goes on walks, is confident on her leash, and loves her mom.
Sophie is a perfect example of our belief:  "We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places and the otherwise homely faces. It is our gift to see beyond the dirt, terror, sadness and defeat and find the true soul that lies within. "   We saw beyond the condition that Sophie was in, and we began from there, doing all we could do make her life GREAT.  And it is!!   💜
