Zoey came into rescue w Rascal in August of 2020. Their owner died and the three dogs were given up by the family. (The third dog went back to the rescue he came from.)
Zoey has little hair on her back end and her tail. Her back feet were stiff and she didn’t walk well.
We put her on good food. She had a dental to remove her only three teeth. Her lower jawbone was gone, dissolved by infection.
But, don’t feel bad for her. She rallied. She had a victory spirit.
Her hair grew back. She walked around the yard and her back legs grew stronger.
She loved to find little places to rest.
I went on a weekend trip w my husband. Guess who went w us. 💖
Zoey had an adoption that fell through. So, she stayed. She’s deaf. Her minimal sight has diminished. The lens in her only eye has gotten worse in the last six months. But, she sees enough to follow me. Or I find her. She loves to be held, she sleeps in our bed. She is about 14 or more now. She will live the rest of her life here. This sweet girl will continue to have a home w us.
She’s loved. She’s content. She’s a sweetheart. 💖💕
