BOGIE AND HIS EYES

Bogie came into rescue with infected eyes.

They were also dry, and he needed medication.    Without help, he probably would have lost his sight.
The veterinary ophthalmologist saw him because he had multiple cysts on his eye lids.
After weeks of medication, we went back, but the cysts were still there-- many of them.  6-8 of them.
He will need eye surgery and that will happen next week.
He is a young Peke, 2 at the most.   He is so sweet.  He loves to be held and give kisses.
He is dependent on Sissy-- I've wondered if she is his mom.
He is always with her, and if she's gone, he gets depressed.
The day she was at the vet, he was so sad.
We do have a prospective home where they will go together.   I will sure miss them.
  • But, first, we need to make sure we have done what we can do to give him the very best start.   We do that because so many of you support all we do.   We take dogs who have been neglected and try to get them as "perfect" as we can.    And we love doing it.
Bogie and Sissy will be with me a little longer so he can have his eyes taken care of-- helping them to see well is so important.    And they are so worth it.
