DUNCAN FINDS A HOME.

This little one was a stray and in the Richmond, VA area.  He was in a shelter that doesn’t work w rescue.
But, one of our PVPC friends didn’t let that stop her.  She went and adopted him herself.   She has kept me updated on his progress. He is only 12 pounds and has a heart condition.  He definitely needed help.  He is now on heart meds
He had a dental at the shelter and he was partially shaved because of matting.
He is in the mountain area of Virginia so it’s cold and he has layers to wear to keep him warm.
He’s deaf and his eyes are bad.  He can’t see much if anything.  He’s getting eye drops to help, but he may end up losing one of them.
Sherry loves the special ones and  seniors and Duncan is definitely special needs.  Duncan is his new name— when they’re deaf, it doesn’t matter what we call them. Being a stray, his name wasn’t known anyway.  But they can sense the love as we say their name.
Duncan seems very thankful that he was adopted and is now safe.  He is a gentle soul.
Theses older ones are so special and they deserve to be cared for and loved for their senior years.   I’ll do updates on him as he continues his journey.   He is going to have a very Merry Christmas.  He’s already received the best gift— a new, loving home.  🌲❤️🌲

Oh he is just so sweet ..... I am so glad he has a lovely new warm home now.

Sherry you are a Peke Angel.

I could not go past him either .... he would be going home with me if I was at that shelter and tiny Duncan was there.
