RASCAL
Rascal came into rescue with Zoey.
They had been in the same family, and the mom died. The father took all three dogs to the shelter.
The bigger dog went to the rescue he came from and Rascal and Zoey came to us. It was a good day for all three. They were all where he would be cared for.
Rascal was a little scared at first, but his foster/adopted mom, Toni, is so good with dogs like this.
He softened as he realized she loved him and he became more comfortable.
He had such a beautiful face. He was so matted that he had to be completely shaved, even his tail.
Toni could hold him like a baby. He loved her. And she loved him.
He tried to help her work.
He had the medical care he needed, losing most of his teeth.
Rascal had 16 months with Toni-- such special months with her. He developed dementia and life was too confusing. He was having a hard time and Toni will never let a dog suffer.
He was so cherished. Run free now, little man. 💙

Big hugs to you Toni..... it must be so difficult deciding when to let go.
You will miss Rascal so much but he is in a happier place.
