FAREWELL DIAMOND

Diamond came into rescue in June of 2022.   Her owner had died and she is in very rough shape.   She needed help.   Her skin was in critical condition and her eyes could not be saved.   With a lot of medical care, she became a healthy, joyful girl.
One of our previous adopters wanted to adopt her.  Diamond made the trip to their home and she settled right in.   She loved the fireplace.
I don't think she had ever had a birthday cake, but she had one last year.
She loved it!
She loved to nap, under her blanket.   She could snore!
Her parents adored her-- her mom said, "She is beautiful and seems quite happy. She will get so much love and attention every day!"
Diamond received so much love.   She was brushed everyday.   She LOVED her squeaky toysl   Since she was blind, she loved the sound they made.
Even if they didn't make noise, she still loved them.   She would tip over
the whole toy basket to get more.
Last Easter, she had her own Easter basket.   She was looking for toys.
At Christmas, she had her very own stocking.   It was filled with goodies.
She had a winter sweater.
Napping by the Christmas tree and dreaming of sugar plums was a great way to spend the day.
Diamond's mom loved her so much.   Rubbing her stomach, brushing her hair that had become so beautiful-- Diamond was cherished.
Diamond began coughing last week.   They immediately took her in and an xray showed fluid and a mass in her abdomen.   They had the fluid drained, but it came back quickly.   She needed to say good bye.   Her mom and dad held her as they let her go.   It was such a hard thing to do.   Her last year was so full of love.   We are so thankful for the wonderful home she had.   Run free now, sweet Diamond.
