Muffie came into rescue in 2022. She was turned into a Maryland shelter and was in rough shape. They asked if we would take her. They thought she was about 11 years old.
Toni fostered her in Virginia. Muffie was about 8 pounds, and she had a horrible mouth and mammary tumors.
She needed a specialist to do her dental since her mouth needed extra care.
Muffie had surgery for the mammary tumors and then she had stenotic nares surgery which really helped her to breathe easier.
Her foster mom cared for her so well after each surgery-- and decided she wanted to adopt her.
I was so happy for Muffie. It was the best home. Her mom said she was the sweetest Peke.
Muffie has doggy friends in her home and is dearly loved. Muffie is about 13 now and we hope she has many more years of love with her mom. 💖
