RICK-- CAN HE BE 17?

Rick is one of our permanent fosters.   He came into rescue three years ago, as a 14-year-old.
Rick has some "peculiarities" so his foster mom said she would become his permanent foster mom.
Rick turned 17 in April.   That's quite an achievement.   Some of our adopted dogs have become 17 and even 18.   It shows what great care and love they have received.
Rick's foster mom absolutely adores him.   She knows he's getting older, but he still enjoys life.
He has some mobility issues, but meds help.   He still enjoys begging for treats-- a cashew fell on the floor, and he found it first.   He decided he would keep looking for them, and he let his foster mom know that.   LOL
Rick still enjoys short walks and goes to the mailbox every day.  Of course, he sniffs often on his walks.   That gives him a little energy to continue.    I think he wanted me to let you know he's doing well and to say hi!  💙
