JOJO AND ANNABELLE AGAIN

Here's another update from their owner-- I fostered Jojo, so he's pretty special to me!    Here are their Dad's comments:   Jojo has turned into the sweetest pup since he gave up his duties as alpha dog. He has grown these little fly-away strands of hair on his ears and his bib has been kinkly ever since his last bath.
Annabelle considers herself alpha dog - which includes making sure I am protected at all times -even from Judy. If Judy tries to kiss me, she will attack. She doesn't try to bite, but she barks and stomps her feet. We both tell her "no" sternly. You can see here, though, she has peke-atude
. (I love this picture!  So sweet!)  Its funny how they will learn certain words and phrases like, "You guys want to come it?" Especially words having to do with food. "Treats." "Lunch." "Nap."
Jojo yawns when he is nervous about something. He always gets nervous when Judy or I go to pick him up. We pick him up very gingerly, but he grumbles a lot of the time. I just hope he never has that neck problem again. He was in such severe pain when it happened.
This is the vexed look Annabelle gives when she doesn't like something. I had Judy tap me on the shoulder while I took the picture. You can see the growth on her nose. I asked 'ole Doc Brown (our vet) about it one time. He slipped on some magnifying specs and looked at it carefully and said, "I believe its hyperkaratosis." I said, "Oooh, I think I have some of those." He didn't seem to get the joke.
I'm including this photo so you can see Jojo's bad eye. It has changed over time. The part that is blue-ish (actually whitish) has developed over the last few months. I hope we never have to have it removed. Even though he cannot see out of it, I don't think it bothers him and he still looks fairly normal. Because it is bigger, I always look at that eye when I speak to him. I can't seem to help it even though I know he cannot see out of it.

It has taken all this time to reach this point of tolerance between the two of them. They will even lay up against one another occasionally, although it appears to be quite by accident.   The two of them love to hang out on the porch looking over their little kingdom.
WE  LOVE YOU, JOJO AND ANNABELLE!
