This has been quite a year-- My support team agrees!
For the last year and a half (almost) of school, we have been at home. The dogs have been great helpers. Virtual school became a full time effort here.
But, with our wonderful foster homes, rescue still continued.
Dogs still needed help. Gracie was one of them.
Zoey helped with our reading classes. We set up areas for both kids to do their virtual classes. A fourth grade area and a kindergarten area.
A dog area was in every room. They were part of the virtual classroom and the teachers loved it
Actually, we had quite a few new ones. Licorice, now Maggoo was one of the Potomac Six.
We had a temporary medical ward at my house before they went to foster homes.

Dolly was in a shelter and needed help, so she came into rescue.
Bric's owner turned him in after 13 years-- so he came into rescue also.
School still went on. We were survivors-- we were warriors-- we were going to do it!
Minnie helped. She's deaf and almost blind, but she encouraged us!Paddington was a constant helper. The teachers got to know our dogs really well.
We let all the people in virtual school meet Tuk Tuk-- he was quite a hit!
Sissy sometimes was bored with virtual school.
But, we continued on-- from March, 2020 until today. A long time. Paddington was a star about it all.
We read lots of books-- this was a favorite.
When it got tough, I looked at my pillow. Yes, I just needed to go to Scotland.

Maybe one day, I'll go again.
Zoey was often on my lap during class sessions.
We read books and had tea parties at the same time.
We did recess in the yard.
We had a map on the table to learn where other countries were.
The kids said the Pledge of Allegiance each day and knew the "Be safe, Be kind. Be a Fabulous Falcon." (our school mascot)
The boys kept an eye out for strangers while we did virtual school.
Bogie and Sissy napped a lot.
Or played!
We had lots of helpful books.
We did a lot of math!
We still had vet visits.
And trips outside.
And the boys kept guarding.
There were virtual Field Days and medals were given.
And Tuk Tuk joined in for awhile.
And Sissy tried hiding again. LOL
We had all we needed to make it a good year. Pencils, scissors, rulers, notebooks, computers, and a big TV screen on the school table to see the screen better. (My eyes needed BIGGER!)
And I "completed Kindergarten." I wasn't sure I would, but I did! First grade (and Fifth grade), here we come! 💓Zoey was often on my lap during class sessions.

We took little breaks to get up and move around. LOTS of 5 minute breaks.
Our home became a virtual classroom in so many ways. The Camp Runamuck dogs helped us. Some were here for part of it, some are still here. Some are gone. But, it was a great Camp Runamuck school year.
