We were asked to help this tiny dog in a very rural shelter. We posted her on facebook and a volunteer went to get her and took her to the vet.
Her eyes were bad and needed meds. Her skin was in rough shape, and her hair was matted all the way down.
They tried to clip a lot of the large mats off to make her more comfortable.
The shelter was doing all they could. It's a tiny shelter and the volunteers are incredible! But, they needed help. This little girl, who became Daisy, was under ten pounds.
She is clean now and getting good food. She has been to the vet and is one of the sweetest dog you can imagine.
If you would like to help with her medical care, please send a check to Dr. Lucinda Hodges who is taking care of her. (What a heart she and Roger have for these little ones!!) Any amount will help off-set her medical care. The address for the vet is: Harris Animal Hospital, 6805 PetersCreek Rd, Roanoke,VA 24019 Put "Daisy" in the memo line. Keep watching for updates on her! She is one sweet girl! If you would be interested in having her as part of your family, just email me at haveninhim@aol.com. She's not a Peke, but she is a very special girl!
