Junior/JR was in a shelter in the spring after his life long family turned him in. He was a senior, but he was adopted.
However, the family who adopted him did not take care of his eyes with the meds provided and he wasn't clean. Poor guy. He was 14, which is old, and I know he had little chance of adoption, but we couldn't say no-- and neither could the rest of the rescue committee (we don't make decisions alone).
His foster mom, Dale, said he loves to be brushed!
He snuggled up and was so comfy-- this was after he escaped from his area in the bathroom-- he wanted to be with everyone!
Sunny wanted a closer look at him. What do you think, sweet girl?
Ginger was content to look at him from above-- who is this?
Junior's life has changed. Many rescues won't take older ones, but our hearts love the seniors. As Ida said, "He probably had his "first peaceful, loving night in a very long time." That's what we do-- provide havens for these little ones. Welcome to the rest of your life, JR!
