Look at these two faces!
Gizmo and his brother are tiny Pekes-- about 5-6 pounds. They were rescued by a kind woman who heard their owner had cancer and couldn't keep them.
She picked them up and had them groomed (they were in rough shape).
She took them to the vet to make sure they were updated.
She wanted to find a Peke rescue to help find them a home.
We got them yesterday. Winston is telling Gizmo, "we are going to have a new adventure."They didn't have far to go to their foster home in Richmond.
They found the big dog bed and are following their foster mom all over. Stay tuned for more updates.
Welcome to rescue, sweet boys! 💙💙

That is just so sad .
What a wonderful lady to rescue them , take them to the Vet and find a Peke rescue.
They seem very bonded Linda but I am sure there are people who want two Peke's.... they are sweet together.
OK ... doing a huge Adoption Dance for the guys!!
Oh Linda, it is so hard looking at these babies & being over here! I miss Sammy so much & would give anything to give these guys a home!! Jan
This is a true Monday story with what I'm sure will be a happy ending story because of Potomac Rescue in the hands of Linda Maxwell and her "Gang of Five (?)". lol i amuse myself by envisioning this little lady swooping about Virginia with her fellow rescue buddies finding Pekes who are in dire straits then getting them to safety then on to fosters who in turn act as temporary Momma-persons (and at times turn into forever Momma-persons.
It's unlikely that the Potomac Rescuers have designer quality uniforms and capes in lovely colors but their work makes them true super heros.
The photos of the two Pekes here captured my heart instantly.
