Applesauce came into rescue in 2020. The Covid pandemic didn't stop rescue.
He was found as a stray in Richmond and his nails were curled around several times.
That's how they got his name "Criss Cross Applesauce." He settled right in at my house. But, not for long.
I had so much interest in him. But, Susanna became his mom.
She adored her little boy.
He was perfect.
He loved his new home.
He had a wonderful yard to explore.
The neighbors loved him.
He loved curling up on the porch.
Of course, he had plenty of toys.
Applesauce was with Susanna for 2 1/2 years-- and he was healthy. Then, he suddenly had heart issues, and they were so serious. This can happen with no notice. He left his mom, loved and cherished.
Run free, sweet boy. So many loved you.
